Gaetano Parmegiani was a composer and conductor associated with the civic band at Montorio al Vomano, Italy, in 1852. We know he also served as the conductor of the 27th Infantry Regiment Band in 1911, for a surviving menu of the Noon Concert at the famous Palazzo Pitti in Florance exists for May 8 of that year and indicates his infantry band performed during lunch under his baton.
This Sinfonia carries the inscription, “Bologna, 1896.”
